Residents in the Phoenix, Arizona area remain on edge after three flashlight bombs were discovered at a Salvation Army sorting center, and two businesses. The last rigged flashlight detonated on May 24 at a Salvation Army warehouse in Phoenix, injuring two employees. Federal agents fear there will be additional explosives to come. Phoenix police officers say they have responded to at least 22 calls from residents fearful that flashlights they have found may also contain explosive devices.
The ATF and local law enforcement agencies are asking for the public’s help in tracking down whoever is responsible for at least three flashlight bombs that have injured five people in recent weeks in Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona.
